§ Mr. Ron DaviesTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if all Forestry Commission district offices in England have been circulated with a copy of the statement made by the Secretary of State for the Environment on behalf of their two Ministries on 16 March and whether the Forestry Commission has issued instructions to all districts on the implementation of the guidelines contained in that statement.
§ Mr. MacGregorI confirm that a copy of the statement was sent to all Forestry Commission forest district offices in England on 16 March. Further instructions to the forest districts must await the guidance letter which I promised in the statement and which is in preparation. In the meantime, the commission is delaying decisions on grant applications likely to be affected by the new policy.
