§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe United Kingdom will have a 33 per cent. share in the development phase of the European fighter aircraft. British Aerospace and Rolls-Royce will be playing a leading role, and major opportunities will be opened up for British industry. The development phase alone will give direct long-term employment to an estimated 3,000–4,000 people in the United Kingdom.
