Mr. Alfred Morris

To ask the Prime Minister what recent representations she has received from the city of Manchester in regard to the National Health Service and the problems of patient care in Manchester's hospitals; what reply she has made; if she will publish the correspondence in theOfficial Report; and if she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

I have received a letter from the hon. Member for Manchester, Central (Mr. Litherland) enclosing one from Councillor Eileen Kelly. a copy of which was also sent to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services. My hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Social Services has now replied to the letter. It is not my usual practice to publish exchanges of this kind.
