To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will remove oats from the cereal co-responsibility scheme.

The coverage of the cereals co-responsibility levy is a matter for the Agriculture Council. We fully appreciate the arguments for exempting oats from the levy and my right hon. Friend is continuing to argue for this in the current price-fixing negotiations.
