§ Mr. Harry GreenwayTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what information he has as to capitation paid to(a) primary and (b) secondary schools in (i) the Inner London education authority and (ii) outer London boroughs in each of the last five years; what information he has as to such payments to be made in the coming year; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mrs. RumboldAuthorities have submitted some details of their per capita allowances for 1985–86 and 1986–87 as part of Her Majesty's inspectorate's 1986 review of LEA provision for education. However, it is not possible to set out accurate comparable data for individual LEAs because each authority has its own type of scheme. Comparisons can be misleading because the allowances do not always cover the same area of expenditure or class of pupils and they are often combined with additional amounts for certain subjects or departments.
