To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if, in the light of the current levels of waiting lists, he will take steps to ensure that sufficient funds are made urgently available to Oldham health authority in 1986 to 1989 to ensure that the new hospital will be fully opened in the next financial year.

Decisions on the allocation of resources at local level is a matter for Oldham health authority in conjunction with the regional health authority.
