Taunton on 15 February that the computerised system will he fully operational in March and there should then be a significant improvement in the service to the public.

Driving test bookings in the western traffic area will be fully computerised from 28 March.

The computer system is working satisfactorily. The associated telephone system is not. This is under urgent review within the Department. In the meantime public access has been limited to 10 am to noon and 2 pm to 4 pm daily.
