To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to publish the Management Advisory Services report on medical laboratory scientific officers.

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services when the Management Advisory Services' manpower planning group report on the review of pathology services staffing is to be published; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Burns

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to respond to the report by Management Advisory Services on pathology services; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Newton

We intend to circulate the report to health authorities and others in the near future after consideration by the NHS Management Board and regional chairmen.
