§ Mr. MaudeIt is estimated that 73 per cent. of the United Kingdom home demand for manufactured goods was met by United Kingdom manufacturers in 1979. This compares with an estimate of 65 per cent. for the 12 months to September 1987, the latest period for which figures are available.
