In Dundee local authority district at 26 February 1988 (the latest available date) there were 1,857 contracted places on YTS, 1,430 of which were filled (a 77 per cent. occupancy rate). For the same date in 1987, there were 1,409 contracted places of which 1,139 were filled (an 81 per cent. occupancy rate). These figures do not include occupancy rates on YTS schemes administered by the large companies unit, which does not break down figures to local level.
