To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he has any plans to improve or increase the firefighting resources at military establishments.

The criteria, on the basis of which the fire defence resources at military sites are established, are at present under review. Whilst it is not possible at this stage to assess the outcome of this review, it may lead in due course to changes in the current provision at establishments, with the aim of providing satisfactory fire cover in the most efficient way.
