§ Mr. KirkwoodTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make it his policy that responses received to consultative documents issued by his Department be made publicly available in his Department's library, except where the respondent has specifically asked that this not be done; and if he will arrange for this procedure to be made clear when future consultative documents are issued.
§ Mr. Tom KingI do not believe that such a policy would be appropriate for the Northern Ireland Office or Northern Ireland departments, but respondents to consultative documents may of course make their views public, if they wish to do so.
