To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if his Department will submit to domestic competitive tender proposals which it is currently considering for water supply or sewerage projects in Cameroun, Chile and Thailand.

Before deciding whether or not to provide aid and trade provision support for these projects, we shall consider how best to secure value for money for the aid programme in the circumstances of each particular case.
