To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will reconsider his decision not to increase further the establishment of the Hampshire constabulary.

As indicated in my reply of 15 February at column437 to an earlier question from my hon. Friend, further consideration will be given to the application for an increase in the establishment of the Hampshire constabulary in 1988–89.
