To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the annual cost of community health councils.

the recent world conference on AIDS on facing up to the spread of the virus within prisons and after a prisoner is released.

The chief medical officer addressed the world summit on "Modes of transmission of HIV as a basis for prevention strategies". The purpose of his speech was to draw attention to problems that need to be addressed in this area, including that of HIV infection among prisoners, and not to make specific proposals.
