To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he last met members of Sheffield council to discuss their policies for encouraging economic regeneration.

Mr. Trippier

I met members of Sheffield city council on 7 December for this purpose. Also I was in Sheffield earlier this week to announce that the Secretary of State is setting up an urban development corporation in the lower Don Valley area. This will make a major contribution towards urban regeneration.
