§ 57. Dr. MoonieTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what support he is giving to the Medical Research Council for research into the epidemiology of AIDS in Africa.
Mr. JacksonIt is for the Medical Research Council to decide its scientific priorities. I understand that the council is at present funding three projects on epidemiological research in Africa. A total of some £250K has been awarded for these studies.
