Mr. Wallace

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy how many inspection person days Euratom has spent in each year since May 1979 at the Dounreay nuclear power development establishment.

Mr. Michael Spicer

Euratom inspectors visit Dounreay very frequently. Precise details could be provided only at disproportionate cost.

Mr. Wallace

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what information the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority at Dounreay gives to Euratom and International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors on the content of nuclear materials sent from Dounreay to Sellafield by ship and from Dounreay and Sellafield and elsewhere by plane.

Mr. Michael Spicer

Site operators inform Euratom and the International Atomic Energy Agency of all movements of civil nuclear materials.

Mr. Wallace

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy how often Euratom safeguards inspectors forward safeguards reports on Dounreay to the Euratom headquarters.

Mr. Michael Spicer

Euratom safeguards inspectors report for each inspection made at Dounreay.
