Mrs. Currie

Allocations to particular district health authorities are a matter for the relevant regional health authority.

Following is expenditure information derived from the annual accounts of the district health authorities within the South-East Thames region:

District Health Authority Revenue Expenditure Capital Expenditure
1982–83 £ thousands 1986–87 £ thousands Cash terms increase per cent. 1982–83 £ thousands 1986–87 £ thousands Cash terms increase / (decrease) per cent.
Bromley 47,948 54,164 12 4,579 4,485 (2)
West Lambeth 70,520 84,682 20 3,360 4,662 38
Camberwell 57,456 70,640 22 2,323 6,592 183
Lewisham and North Southwark 94,967 112,541 18 4,876 6,391 31
Notes:
1. The figures for capital expenditure include sums in respect of schemes within the districts recorded in the annual accounts of the South East Thames regional health authority. Revenue and capital expenditure incurred by the latter authority for the region as a whole is excluded.
2. Prior to 1 April 1985 the Brighton, Maidstone, Bexley, Bromley and West Lambeth district health authorities each had an associated family practitioner committee (FPC). Those authorities expenditure figures for 1982–83 include small elements relating to FPC's administrative expenses which are not separately identifiable.
