§ Mr. McLeishTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list his responsibilities for the electricity supply industry in Scotland.
§ Mr. LangMy right hon. and learned Friend is responsible for the efficient and economic development, supply and use of electricity in Scotland, in so far as this relates to the operations of the South of Scotland Electricity Board and North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board. Other matters, affecting the development of energy sources in general, are primarily the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy.
