§ Mr. Cohen
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many subject access requests under the terms of the Data Protection Act his Department has received; what was his estimate of this number; whether he is reconsidering the subject access fee charged by his Department as a result; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Ridley
By 1 March 1988 my Department — including PSA — had received 381 subject access 743W requests. No prior estimate of this number had been made and I have no plans to reconsider the level of the fee charged.
