To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if the meteorologists on the 45 sites to be part of the radioactive incident monitoring network will be required to sign a declaration under the Official Secrets Act.

Mr. Sainsbury

All staff of the Meteorological Office, including those working at sites involved in the radioactive incident monitoring network, would be bound by the Official Secrets Act as a matter of course.
