§ Mr. Wyn RobertsManpower Services Commission officials will shortly be discussing with individual community programme scheme managers their plans in relation to the new adult training programme. I hope that as many projcects as possible will continue into the new programme.
§ Mr. WigleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales whether he will establish a community fund in Wales to continue financial support for those schemes presently funded through the community programme, which will not be eligible for support under Her Majesty's Government's proposalss for a reformed community programme; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsAs the Manpower Services Commission said in its response on the new adult training programme, it hopes to explore with appropriate Government Departments the possibility of making financial provision for some community programme projects which are of particular benefit to the community but which will not have the training content needed for inclusion in the new programme.
§ Mr. WigleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what proportion of places currently offered under the community programme in Wales are provided by voluntary sector sponsors.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsThe proportion of filled community programme places in Wales provided by the voluntary sector was 44 per cent. at 29 January 1988.
