To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if, pursuant to the reply by the hon. Member for Broxbourne (Mrs. Roe),Official Report, 10 February, column 289, on the meeting of nuclear experts, he will make a statement on the outcome of the meeting to which reference was made; and if he will arrange for a copy of the final communiqué to be placed in the Library.

The expert meeting, which was held in Brussels on 15 February, was initiated by the EC Commission for a discussion and exchange of views on the handling, reprocessing and storage of radioactive waste in member states. No conclusions were drawn and no communiqué was issued.
