§ Mr. BoyesTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish for(a) the Northern regional health authority and (b) Sunderland district health authority lists depicting the average daily number of beds available in 1979 to the latest available date for all specialties and for acute specialties.
§ Mrs. CurrieThe information requested is given in the table. The number of in-patient cases treated per available bed by Northern regional health authority has increased from 14.6 to 19, between 1979 and 1986. In Sunderland district health authority the increase has been from 18 to 21.5, over the same period.
