§ Mr. CranTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when he expects the report of the investigation into his Department's handling of matters relating to the Barlow Clowes Group to be completed and made available.
§ Mr. Maude[pursuant to his reply, 23 June 1988, c. 647]: Sir Godfray Le Quesne has assured me that he will report 232W as soon as is consistent with the completion of a thoroughgoing inquiry. From what he has seen so far he confidently expects to report before Parliament reassembles in the autumn.
Subject to there being no legal impediment, either as to content or to timing, I would propose to publish the report as soon as practicable thereafter.
