§ Mr. GummerOn 6 June, I announced the publication of the 1987 report on water pollution from farm waste in England and Wales—and at the same time urged farmers to take a really tough line in getting to grips with this problem. Members of the Agricultural Development and Advisory Service routinely point out to farmers the damage that pollution can cause to the environment. They also offer free advice on what steps should be taken to minimise the risk of pollution.
