§ Mr. PendryTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Burnley (Mr. Pike) of 28 March,Official Report, column 311, regarding the introduction of competition into the management of local authority sports and leisure facilities, he is now able to make a statement on the responses to the consultation paper regarding the possible application of the competition provisions of part I of the Local Government Act to sport and leisure facility management.
