HC Deb 23 June 1988 vol 135 cc655-6W
Mr. Worthington

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what proposals exist for further designated places for those with drink problems similar to Albyn house in Aberdeen.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

A grant offer under section 10 of the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 was recently accepted by the Church of Scotland for a designated place to be built at Inverness. The provision of designated places is a matter for voluntary organisations, which may apply for grant under the 1968 Act, or local authorities.
