§ 48. Mr. SimsTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what guidance his Department currently provides to inspectors appointed to conduct planning appeals to assist them in carrying out their duties.
§ Mr. WaldegraveLike local planning authorities, inspectors must have regard to guidance on planning policy published by my right hon. Friend, so far as it is material to the particular case. The Department also arranges training for inspectors on all aspects of their work.
§ 63. Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many appeals he has allowed from developers every year for the last five years.
