To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the total net income to his Department in 1985, 1986, 1987 and to date from applications for registration and naturalisation.

Fees received for applications for naturalisation and registration, net of refunds to unsuccessful applicants, for the financial years 1985–86, 1986–87, 1987–88 and for April and May 1988 are as follows:
