§ Mr. HindTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the levels of 359W aluminium in the water supply provided by the North West water authority, and current EEC permitted levels of aluminium in water supplies.
§ Mr. Moynihan[holding answer 16 June 1988]: All drinking water supplies provided by the North West water authority comply with the standard for aluminium set by the EC drinking water directive except for the following: parts of Sefton MB, Stockport MB, Bolton MB, Tameside MB, Oldham MB, Carlisle district, Eden district, Iancaster borough, Ribble Valley district.
