Member for Darlington,Official Report, column 429, whether, in the case of the non-vehicle voluntary restraint arrangements with Japan, he is satisfied that the net cost to the economy does not outweigh the benefits to the industries concerned.
§ Mr. Alan Clark[holding answer 13 June 1988]: I am satisfied that the continuation of the inter-industry restraint arrangements to which my hon. Friend refers is justified for a limited period. 1 am keeping the need for them under close review.
