The community education and careers branch of ILEA is responsible for adult education, the youth service and the careers service in inner London. Under our proposals the boroughs will become responsible for these services in their area. They will have to set out their intentions for them in their development plans. Discussions will be held with the boroughs, ILEA and others on the future arrangements for particular aspects of these services.
