To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what have been the recorded levels of childhood leukaemia, malignant brain tumours among young people and the number of adult thyroid cancers, in the area covering a six-mile radius around the British Nuclear Fuels plc plant at Capenhurst; and how this compares with the incidence of these conditions in the rest of the United Kingdom.

For example, following a review of the Department's works function, authority for execution of capital building schemes at all stages subsequent to approval in principle was delegated to regional health authorities.
