HL Deb 14 June 1988 vol 498 c262WA
Lord Jenkins of Putney

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they can give reliable figures of the number of civilian casualties in the American bombing of Libya.

Lord Glenarthur

We do not have a detailed breakdown of the casualties incurred as a result of the United States attack on five clearly defined, terrorism-related targets in 1986. It has been estimated that there were about 100 casualties.
