To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many building grants have been awarded in respect of fishing vessels by the SFIA in the period January to April.

During the period 1 January to 30 April 1988, construction grants amounting to some £1,211,000 were awarded in respect of seven new vessels.
