To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has any plans to review the current total allowable catch for Clyde herring; and if he will make a statement.

There are no plans to review the current total allowable catch for Clyde herring. The most recent advice from the advisory committee on fishery management suggests that the catch in 1989 should be set at the level of landings in recent years.
