To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what is the current state of progress on the proposed Dartford to Thurrock bridge.

Dartford River Crossing Limited plans to begin construction of the bridge on 1 August if the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing Bill receives Royal Assent by 30 June. The bridge is expected to be complete by early 1991.
