§ Mr. CorbynTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport what is the total cost of London road assessment studies from 1984 to date; and what is the projected further spending
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe total cost of stage 1 of the studies was about £3 million. It is estimated that stage 2, which began last December, will cost approximately £4 million to complete.
Additionally there is the cost of answering the hon. Member's 31 questions.
§ Mr. CorbynTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will publish all representations made to his Department in respect of the London assessment studies; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyNo.
It would not be practical to publish all representations made to the Department on the London assessment studies. Since the studies commenced in November 1984 we have received representations about various aspects of the studies from local authority associations, London planning advisory committee, individual boroughs, national and local groups and members of the public.
I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave on 21 July, at columns 792–93,about the most recent representations I have received from the Association of London Authorities.
