§ Mr. Galbraith
To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will meet Strathkelvin district council to discuss the housing financial allocations for 1988–89; and if he will make a statement.
§ Lord James Douglas-Hamilton
My right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland has no plans to meet the district council. On 31 May, in response to representations from the council, the Secretary of State offered a meeting with officials of the Scottish Development Department to discuss the issue in question; this offer has not been taken up.
