HC Deb 27 July 1988 vol 138 c368W
Mr. Skinner

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make further inquiries into the drug Trasidrex with respect to its association with bronchospasm and dyspnoea; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Currie

Reports of suspected adverse reactions to all drugs marketed in the United Kingdom, including Trasidrex, are routinely monitored by the Committee on Safety of Medicines. As my right hon. Friend's reply on 12 July, at column152, made clear, appropriate warnings concerning bronchospasm already appear in the manufacturer's data sheet for Trasidrex. We are not aware of any grounds for further inquiries.
