§ Mr. RidleyIn issuing guidelines on large scale voluntary transfers of local authority housing to private bodies to English local authorities on 8 June, I made it clear that I would apply the guidance issued in circular 6/88 "Consultation with Secure Tenants before Disposal to Private Sector Landlord: Commencement of Section 6 of the Housing and Planning Act 1986" in the case of all large-scale voluntary transfers to tenanted local authority housing.
No guidelines have been issued to local authorities on the transfer of their housing under parts III and IV of the Housing Bill.
