To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he appointed equal opportunity officers; and how many and what percentage of these are women, from ethnic minority groups or both.

§ Mr. Ridley
My Department appointed two equal opportunity officers in 1984, one from central DOE and one from the PSA. Both posts are occupied by white, male staff.
