To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he last met the Association of County Councils; and what was discussed.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State and I met representatives of the Association of County Councils at the national annual consultative meeting on 5 July. A wide range of matters relating to roads was discussed. A joint approach for the reduction of road casualties was agreed.
