To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what progress has been made by the Chief of Defence Procurement in introducing a labelling scheme for spare parts, following his recent statement to the Public Accounts Committee.

The great majority of defence contractors are now co-operating with the Ministry's spares price-labelling requirements. The proportion of price-labelled stocks is steadily increasing in service depots.
