To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food why no Minister from his Department attended the Great Yorkshire Agricultural Show.

My noble Friend the Parliamentary Secretary was due to attend the Great Yorkshire Agricultural Show to represent my Department on Wednesday 13 July, but was prevented from doing so at short notice by parliamentary business. Unfortunately at that stage no other Minister was available to take over this engagement.
