§ Lord SkelmersdaleI am grateful to the members of the committee for their assistance in producing a most useful report. Copies of the committee's report, which I am placing in the Library, are today being sent to health authorities, family practitioner committees, local social services authorities and to managers within the Department of Social Security. I hope it will be of particular value to those who are locally responsible for the provision of health and personal social services and for the operation of the social security system. We continue to be very concerned about violence against staff by members of the public and we take seriously our duty to protect those who work for us all.
