To ask the Lord President of the Council if he will move to refer to the Select Committee on Procedure the matter of the practice governing the giving of notice by Members of motions for leave to bring in Bills under Standing Order No. 19; and if he will make a statement.

This is a matter which is already within the terms of reference of the Procedure Committee. I am sure that it will have noted the representations made by my hon. Friend and other hon. Members.
