To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in theOfficial Report the number of telephones, personal aids, adaptations and holidays provided by local authority social services departments for people with disabilities in the last year for which figures are available.

Figures for 1987, the latest year for which data are available, are shown in the table. For local authorities which did not provide information, the latest available data for those authorities are used.

The latest available information on the numbers of persons registered as disabled with local authorities in England is in the table. Figures for the rest of the United Kingdom are a matter for my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland, and my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Wales and Northern Ireland.
